Dr. Kimberly G. Brengle
Dr. Brengle earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science, with minors in both psychology and biology, from Indiana University in 2003. She also received another Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in 2007. In addition to her doctorate degree, Dr. Brengle graduated magna cum laude with her Masters Degree in Human Nutrition, and is currently pursuing her CCN and a Diplomate Degree in Nutrition (DACBN), after having taken more than 300 hours of post-graduate nutrition courses.
Here extensive training allows her to treat a wide scope of conditions both structurally and functionally.
Dr. Brengle’s post-graduation education included the extensive study of Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine is anchored by an examination of the core clinical imbalances that underlie various disease conditions. Those imbalances often arise as environmental stimulants (both internal and external) such as diet, nutrients (including air and water), exercise, and trauma are processed by one’s body, mind, and spirit through a unique set of genetic predispositions, attitudes, and beliefs.
As an avid runner and cyclist, Dr. Brengle has competed in 13 full marathons and over 30 half marathons. A current life-goal is to complete a race in each of the National Parks. She enjoys traveling, which in the past took her on a cross country cycling trip, riding over 4500 miles coast to coast in 29 days. When not in her running shoes or on her bike, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and dogs.
